What is the true colour of peat water?

Samples of peat water

We have all seen romantic pictures of nature with light-blue bog lakes. However, this light-blue hue is only the water’s reflection of the blue sky.

In reality, the colour of peat water ranges from light yellow to dark brown. It depends on the concentration of humic acids in the water.

The original colour of the peat water used in our products is brown, but after filtration, it turns yellow. As a result, yellow or even brown streaks can sometimes appear on our wet wipes. This does not mean that the product is of poor quality.
